Emma Lawton joined the Hoops on deadline day, making the move to Paradise from fellow SWPL side Partick Thistle.

Spending time in the Celtic Academy, the defender also had spells at Manchester City and Motherwell before earning regular minutes for the Jags.

The full-back's progress caught the eye of Elena Sadiku, and the 23-year-old has taken to life as a Celtic player right away.

Making her domestic and UEFA Women’s Champions League debut in the same week, Lawton also scored her first goal for the club in the second leg tie UWCL tie against Vorskla Poltava.

Before moving to Celtic Park, she also earned international recognition with a call up for the Scotland under-23s side.
