Claire Walsh adds defensive reinforcement to Elena Sadiku’s squad, joining up with the Hoops for the 2025/26 campaign.

The defender brings a host of experience from within Scottish football, having spent four years with fellow SWPL side, Glasgow City.

With experience on both the domestic and European stage for the Petershill side, Walsh has also spent time playing in the US and her native Ireland.

During her playing days in both those countries, Walsh also achieved degrees in both Psychology and Computing Science, whilst winning two leagues and a cup with Peamount United in Ireland.

Walsh also had trophy success at City, winning the 2022/23 league title, whilst she has also played on the Paradise turf with her former side against Celtic.

The centre-back brings international experience with Ireland to the squad, and is great option for the Ghirls at the back.
