Michel-Ange Balikwisha

Michel-Ange Balikwisha joined Celtic on a five-year deal from Royal Antwerp in August 2025, becoming the Hoops eighth summer signing.

The 24-year-old attacker spent the previous four years with Royal Antwerp, where he made 145 appearances, and in 2023 helped the club win a domestic double, including their first Belgian league title since 1957.

Previous to Antwerp, Balikwisha was at Standard Liege during the 2020/21 season where he made his professional debut.

Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers, said: “He is a really talented, exciting player and with a good level of experience at a high level already, so he will be an important player for us moving forward.

On joining the Hoops, Balikwisha will also link up with his former Belgium Under-21 team-mate, Arne Engels.
