Matt O'Riley
The highly-rated young midfielder became Celtic's fifth signing of the January 2022 transfer window.
After joining the Hoops, the attacking midfielder was immediately thrown into the starting line-up, contributing an assist and earning the Man of the Match in a crucial 2-1 win away at Hearts.
He immediately slotted into the way Celtic wanted to play, with him going on to become a vital part of the team that regained the cinch Premiership in May 2022.
O’Riley made 20 appearances, scoring 4 goals during the 2021/22 campaign.
In his first full season at the club in 2022/23 he played an important role in the historic treble for the club. A significant season for the Danish U21 international, it saw him make his UEFA Champions League debut in a home fixture against Real Madrid.
After coming through the Fulham Youth Academy he made his first-team debut for the club at the age of just 16. He made five appearances in total for the club before joining MK Dons in January 2021.
The 6’ 2” central midfielder went to make 52 appearances for the English League One club, scoring nine goals including seven in his final season, helping push MK Dons into a potential play-off place.

Matt O’Riley has represented England at both under 16 and under 18 levels.
In February 2022, O'Riley stated that he wanted to represent Denmark and the following month he was named in the Danish under-21 squad for the first time. He went on to to score his first goal for the Danes against Turkey U21s in June 2022.
