Celtic have arrived in Lisbon ahead of Thursday night's UEFA Europa League match against Benfica at their iconic Estádio da Luz home.

As Águias (The Eagles), as Benfica are affectionately known by their passionate supporters, find themselves second in the Portuguese league after their first eight games of the season, and have started their UEFA Europa League campaign with an impressive 2-0 away win against AC Milan.

Though the test against the Portuguese giants is set to be a stern one, the Hoops will be looking to get their UEL campaign up and running properly after a disappointing defeat against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park just a few weeks ago.

And speaking to the media in Portugal this evening (Wednesday, October 14), Celtic keeper Viljami Sinisalo says that he is looking forward to the task ahead tomorrow.

He said: “Everyone understands how much of a difficult challenge it’s going to be.

“They’ve got a lot of quality footballers, so do we. A lot of footballers that play for their countries. Again, so do we.

“It’s a challenge that we’re relishing. It’s a chance to raise your levels and play at a very high level against a very good team.

“That’s something that everyone should relish and really enjoy. It’ll be a good occasion.”
