Tomorrow (Saturday) sees Celtic return to league action with a 3pm kick-off at Celtic Park against Dundee United, and everyone in green and white will be looking for an instant response after last weekend’s derby defeat.

This weekend’s match also sees Martin O’Neill return to the dugout as Celtic manager after it was announced midweek that the legendary Hoops boss would be returning to Paradise until the end of the season.

It is the second time in this campaign that Martin has taken on the role as Celtic manager, with his previous interim spell yielding seven wins from eight matches, with victories coming both domestically and in Europe.

The Hoops’ record of six defeats in eight games over recent weeks makes for less impressive reading, with one of those losses coming against tomorrow’s opponents, who were 2-1 winners over Celtic at Tannadice last month.

Ahead of tomorrow’s match, Benjamin Nygren says that the Bhoys’ focus is on getting back to winning ways as he explained what the last few days have been like with Martin O’Neill back at the helm.

Speaking to the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon, the Swedish midfielder said: “The defeat at Tannadice is in the past now and we know that we need to do better and we will do better. We have to win games.

'Martin has been here before and is respected and loved by everyone in and around the club.'

“He knows the club so well and the standards required. He is a legend here and he knows what the demands are.

“We had him here not long ago so, as players, we’re just trying to get into it as fast as possible. It’s been looking good in training with good intensity, so I feel good.”
