Just four games into the season and Celtic are already 13 goals to the good, and on-fire Benjamin Nygren is responsible for scoring four of those goals.

Indeed. The Swedish midfielder has found the net in each of the Hoops’ four games so far, and he smashed in the all-important opener last night (Wednesday) against Austrian Bundesliga champions LASK in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off.

In an exclusive interview with the Official Celtic FC App, the 25-year-old said after the thrilling 3-0 win: “It was a great night. The energy in the arena was so amazing, and I think it helped us a lot.

“They had two offside goals as well and you could see that they had some very quality players.

‘I think we really need to be on our toes but overall, I think it was a very good performance, and, again, it helps to score many goals.’

Following Nygren’s opener, Camilo Durán ramped up the atmosphere and the goal tally further by adding two more excellent strikes of his own.

The Swede added: “I think all three goals tonight were great, especially the two first ones.

“Camilo is a very good player. You can see he has so much quality. I really, really like to play with both him and Kasper and, of course, the other guys as well.

“But I think the new guys have made us better.

“It helps to have quality players around you. And I think we've found the chemistry very fast.”
