As we look ahead to Sunday’s special evening with Martin O’Neill, today’s Full Match Flashback takes us back to an explosive derby performance from his side in April 2005 – a 2-1 win at Ibrox.

The breakthrough came midway through the first half. Didier Agathe whipped a brilliant cross into the box and Stiliyan Petrov timed his run perfectly to power a header beyond Ronald Waterreus.

Just before the break, Craig Bellamy collected a clever pass from Alan Thompson, turned inside Sotirios Kyrgiakos, and curled a clinical finish into the far corner to double the lead. It was a goal that capped off a brilliant all-round display from the Welsh forward.

Rangers pushed hard in the second half – Marvin Andrews hit the bar, Sotirios Kyrgiakos had a header cleared off the line, and Steven Thompson pulled one back late on. But Celtic stood tall under pressure, with David Marshall and Jackie McNamara key in preserving the advantage.

The final whistle sparked jubilant scenes in the Broomloan Road Stand, as O’Neill signed off in the fixture with a win on enemy territory.
