“We’re strong but we’re obviously just in the beginning of it and, for me, it’s that patience of everybody looking at the journey and everybody wanting to be 1% better every single day, every single session and every single game, and that’s got to be our mentality throughout the whole season.

“We’ve got to be happy because it’s still the start and we’re doing great things, but we want to keep building and make sure we keep working with the details that are going to make us better.”

Partick Thistle kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Hamilton Accies before losing 5-0 last week to defending champions, Hibernian.

But Elena Sadiku knows that they will be looking to bounce back and will be tough opponents for her side this weekend.

“They’re going to work really hard defensively to protect the box,” she said, “but they also had some really good attacking football against Hibs, which we’re aware of, and we want to make sure they can’t do that against us.

“But we just need to focus on our style of play, who we want to be and how we want to be perceived as, and we’re just going to keep building on that.

“So hopefully you’ll see a front-footed Celtic who wants to score a lot of goals.”
