Lucy Ashworth-Clifford has said that Celtic have what it takes to keep fighting to the finish in this season’s SWPL title run-in.

Elena Sadiku’s side currently sit top of the table with a superior goal difference to Rangers.

This Sunday, the Ghirls face Partick Thistle in the first of their final three matches of the SWPL season, and speaking ahead of that vital match, Ashworth-Clifford has backed the Hoops to continue their good run of league form.

“We’ve been doing well,” she said. “Hopefully we can keep pushing on.

‘It’ll be tough, but we’ve got it in us. It’s exciting. It’s a big three games.'

The midfielder explained that the team's preparation for the last week of the campaign won’t differ from their normal build-up as Elena Sadiku’s side look to secure the title for the first time in the club's history.

Ashworth-Clifford said: “We’ll do what we’ve always been doing. I’ll do the normal things, nothing changes.

“It’s the same as any other week, but hopefully there’s a good prize at the end of it.”
