Nicolas Kühn spent Wednesday morning enjoying his first training session as a Celtic player, and in the evening he met the media for his opening press conference.

Having signed from Rapid Vienna on a five-and-a-half-year contract, Kühn said he is ready to hit the ground running now he’s arrived at Celtic Park.

With a CV that includes the likes of Ajax and Bayern Munich, the 24-year-old is an exciting addition to Brendan Rodgers’ side and he says he can’t wait to now get started.

He said: “It was a stressful week but I’m really happy to be here.

“I met all the team-mates and staff and they are all very nice people and I can’t wait to get started.

'My strongest ability is my speed and good technique. I create a lot of chances and I like to be one-against-one, I love being in those situations and it’s what the fans can expect.'

“In the end, you want to win every trophy there is, that’s the goal.

“You have to go step-by-step and game-by-game and for me personally I want to play and show what I’m able to do.”
