Speaking exclusively from the Stadio Olimpico to Celtic TV, he said: “It’s a huge game for us. Every game is important but this one in particular as we need three points to stay in Europe.

“Every one of us is really looking forward to the game.

‘I’m sure everyone is ready for the game for the three points and we will be 100% concentrated once the game starts.’

“Everyone hopes that we can get the three points and we have shown in the last games in Europe that we can compete at this level. I’m sure everyone is ready to go and give their all.”

Holm believes Celtic’s performances in the Champions League have deserved more than the one point amassed so far, with the side going toe-to-toe in all of their matches so far when 11 men have been on the park.

Despite not turning performances into results as of yet, the midfielder is confident that can change in Rome.

He added: “I think the confidence is high as we have shown we can compete at this level.

'At a club like Celtic, we have a big mentality and we go into every game with that confidence.'

“We need to attack together and defend together and always stay concentrated.

“If you fall asleep and make mistakes you get punished so we have to stay concentrated at all times.”
