AS we prepare to enter the final two fixtures of 2023, Celtic FC Women will be aiming to round the year off in style as they take on Spartans and Hearts.

However, before those fixtures, a number of Celts are heading off to join up with their respective nations during the last international break of this year.

A total of six members of Fran Alonso’s have received call-ups for their countries as they gear up for competitive and friendly action over the coming days.

Amy Gallacher made it three call-ups in a row this month, after being named in the latest Scotland squad that will round off their UEFA Nations League campaign.

The striker’s first two appearances for her country came earlier this year against England and Belgium, and the side will go up against those opponents once more in December.

Following on from her first senior appearance for Pedro Martinez Losa’s side, Jenny Smith will be heading off with the Scotland under-23 squad ahead of their training camp.

Smith will also be joined by her regular midfielder partner Colette Cavanagh, who has seen her early season rewarded with a call-up for the under-23s, who will be taking on Netherlands in a friendly at the beginning of December.

After playing her part in making the perfect start to Ireland’s UEFA Nations League campaign, Caitlin Hayes will be joining up with the Irish national team this month.

The Celtic defender and her international team-mates will be aiming to make it six group wins from six as they face off against Hungary and Northern Ireland.

Shen Mengyu has also continued her run of call-ups for China after being named in the squad ahead of this month’s international break.

The midfielder will be hoping to pick up more caps as they take on USA in a double-header of friendly fixtures.

After her goalscoring performance in the Hoops’ emphatic 5-0 win over Hamilton Accies, Imane Addi has received a recall to the Moroccan National squad as they take on Uganda.
