The Swedish defender is aiming to get back to winning ways against the Dons, and return to the consistent performances that have secured the title so convincingly.

“There have been a lot of changes to the team, but that is not an excuse,” he said. “We need to work really hard to get back to the stability we have shown throughout the season.

“So that is the only thing on our minds at this moment in time.

“In the first part of the season we also made a lot of changes to the team, and we didn’t drop our levels.

'So I wouldn’t blame it only on that. It’s about us players really getting back to what we have done all season.'

“Of course, you want to have that consistency as well. So it’s always something different when you make a lot of changes and maybe you need to build some new relationships or understanding out on the pitch.

“I'm sure if we work really hard, and do our work on the pitch then we will get back to that stability that we have had.”

With the Celts lifting the Scottish Premiership title tomorrow afternoon, the Bhoys have the opportunity to seal another trophy at Hampden Park next weekend.

Taking on Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup final, victory would see Ange Postecoglou’s side secure a Treble, rounding off the season with a clean sweep of domestic trophies.

Although much of the Celtic support will be looking forward to another trip to the national stadium for the chance to potentially witness history, Starfelt insists that the squad’s focus is solely on the action at Paradise on Saturday.

He said: “I think it’s really important to put in a good performance ahead of the cup final. We need to get back to how we have been performing all season.

“For example, in the last game at Celtic Park in parts we played good football, but it maybe doesn’t seem like it’s going our way right now.

“In order to fix that, we need to work really hard to shift the momentum a bit. So that is what we are looking to do on Saturday.

'We all know that it will be much more fun for everyone if we put in a good performance and come away with a victory.'

“I don’t think we've thought too much about the next game yet, because we have Aberdeen tomorrow.

“Hopefully we can put in a good performance and it will be a great game. We know that it’s going to be a really good day in that case, and after that we will turn out attention to the cup final.

“We haven’t spoken about it in the team, and I don’t think the focus has been on that.”
