The next few months are an exciting period for Chance on both international and club levels.

Fran Alonso’s side are currently in the hunt for the SWPL title, while New Zealand are one of the two hosts of this summer’s Women’s World Cup.

Although it was a slightly disappointing international break from a result points of view for Chance and her team-mates, with tight 2-0 and 1-0 defeats, they will be looking to up the ante as the international tournament approaches.

And the midfielder was glad to get another win under her belt with Celtic, picking up an important three points at the Excelsior Stadium.

She said: “I had a good time away with New Zealand – I always do. I enjoy the experience. We’ve got a big World Cup coming up this summer. So we need to perform on an international level.

“We didn’t have a great camp, so it was nice to come back and have a good result.

“For me personally, for morale, it’s nice to win a game and a big important one.”

Next up for Celtic, is a visit to take on Hamilton Accies in the league tomorrow evening (Wednesday).

Following such a brilliant result and performance last week, for the squad it is all about maintaining those levels and continuing to build momentum.

Chance is expecting Wednesday’s opponents to be difficult to break down, as they look to stop the impressive Celtic attacking frontline.

But, for Fran Alonso’s side, it is all above continuing to play their football and taking the opportunities that come their way.

Chance added: “It’s about momentum. We want to win the league. That’s pretty simple, so it’s going to be hard work.

'We’ve all got our intentions to win the league and I think it’s really about this game tomorrow against Hamilton Accies, it's important and it’s just about building on what we’ve done.'

“They are going to be hard, they are going to be set up well. So they will be difficult to break down.

“For us, it’s about moving the ball quickly and when we have got opportunities to score, it’s about making sure we put them in the back of the net.”
