We’re back at Celtic Park for the fifth-round of the Scottish Cup, as the Hoops host St Mirren with the aim of booking a place in the quarter-final draw.

The matchday programme for the game is packed full of articles on the champions and the visitors, including an exclusive interview with midfielder Matt O'Riley.

The Denmark Under-21 internationalist sat down to talk all things football and life away from the pitch, opening up on the help he's been receiving to be in a better frame of mind and improve his performances for the Celts.

Here's a short excerpt of the interview which you can read in full in the matchday programme.

Speaking exclusively to the programme, O’Riley said: “I have to say I work on the mental side of my game more than anything else.

“I have a really good friend who is also a coach for me called Ish and he lives in India. I met him at Fulham and he was an intern at the time.

"We struck up a friendship and we were similar in our approaches to what we wanted to get out of our careers and we thought we could help each other.

"Since then we’ve done a lot of work in areas like meditation, which is something I have done over the last few years.

'If I can learn to deal with things from this age then I think it will help me because I’ve had both good and bad experiences this season in terms of my mental side, and I think this whole process has allowed me to learn things in different ways.'

“I will still have good and bad days but on a whole, this is the happiest I’ve been and that’s not just due to football, even though I’m so grateful I play for such an amazing club.

"It’s not due to the outcomes on the pitch, which I thought a while ago would make me happy, but I realise it’s the whole journey and embracing it and enjoying it along the way.

“I’ve learned so many different things from the good and bad experiences, but mainly the bad experiences.

"I feel I deal with things a lot better than I did at the start, where if I had a bad game it could affect me for a few days because you care so much.

"As much as it’s a good thing, it’s probably the wrong mentality because it adds more pressure and stress and it makes it harder to perform because you’ve got more baggage on you.

“I’ve learned that when you don’t succeed that you accept it and embrace the failures and that’s a culture we have within this team with all the players.”
