Celtic FC Women will face Brondby in the first round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League next Wednesday (September 6) at the Intility Arena in Oslo, Norway.

For supporters looking to make the trip to watch the Ghirls in Norway, the fixture kicks off at 2pm local time (1pm CPT) and tickets are available to buy online now.

The Danish side will provide a stern test as they finished runners-up in the league last season and have previously reached the semi-final of the competition on three occasions, the last time coming in the 2014/15 season.

The Ghirls earned their place in the qualifying rounds after a strong 2022/23 season in the SWPL, with Fran Alonso’s side finishing second in the table.

Entering as part of the League Path, the Celts have been drawn into a four-team group which will be played as two semi-final ties. The other two teams drawn in the Hoops’ group are FC Minsk of Belarus and Valerenga of Norway.

The winners of the two semi-final ties will then advance to the final to determine who moves on to the next round of qualification. The two losing semi-finalists will also play out a third-placed play-off.

The semi-finals will take place on September 6, with both the final and third-placed match scheduled for three days later.
