Yardley Makefield Soccer Club, established in 1979, boasts an impressive membership of over 1750 players, 20 members of staff and a host of volunteers.

The club also won two US National Championships back in 2011 and more recently in 2016. One of those national championship players is Murphy Agnew, who recently signed for Celtic FC’s Women’s first team from A-League side, Newcastle Jets. She was part of the YMS set-up from 2009-17.

YMS Club President George Schlieben said: “Over the past eight years, the relationship with Celtic FC has become a key component of the fabric of the culture at YMS.

"Our goal with this new agreement was to create multiple opportunities throughout the year for both our players and staff to benefit. This relationship provides training camps to all members, international experiences for players, and both invaluable virtual and in person training for staff and players.
