The UEFA Youth League kicks off next Tuesday, September 6 when Celtic welcomes Spanish giants Real Madrid to the Excelsior Stadium (KO 3pm).

Tickets for this fixture are on sale now, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

The UEFA Youth League is an under 19s competition and mirrors the Bhoys’ Champions League Group F, which has pitched the Hoops amongst Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig.

Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus will lead the Celtic side in this competition, which allows for the inclusion of up to three U20 players.

O’Dea spoke to Celtic TV of the team’s preparation ahead of the fixture, saying: “It’ll be the same preparation as always. We look to train at our maximum every day, we look to be at our best every day and hopefully, our next best performance is against them.”

The involvement in this competition provides a great chance for development and allows the boys to gain vital experience against European opposition.

For a day full of Celtic excitement, come along and enjoy the UEFA Youth League fixture at the Excelsior Stadium before Ange and the Bhoys take to Paradise in their opening UEFA Champions League match later that evening.
