Anthony Ralston has extremely fond memories of Ross County away and Wednesday night's 4-1 win in the League Cup was another to add to the collection.

With nine changes to the team that defeated Dundee United 9-0, the result and performance showcased the strength-in-depth of Ange Postecoglou's side and the right-back was delighted the boys maintained the high standards.

Speaking to Celtic TV after full-time, he said: "I thought all the boys were excellent as there were a lot of changes in the team but the message is the same and we know what’s required.

"We will use the squad this season so it was important that the boys that came in did their job so I’m happy.

"It’s important everyone knows their role in the team and it’s a credit to the boys that came in tonight that they put the effort into training every day so they’re ready.

'We need to maintain that standard as a squad moving forward so that when you do get that opportunity you’re ready to take it and the boys did that which is key at a club like this.'

"I’ve got great memories here, it’s a long trip for fans with their work commitments, so it’s a credit to them for turning out and it’s up to us to send them home happy and I’m happy I could contribute to that.

"We now look ahead to Saturday which we are looking forward to and we then have the Champions League starting, so it’s an exciting time for us as a club and players and we’re looking forward to the challenges ahead."
