The Celtic manager said: “It’s a good challenge for us. Lee Johnson has come in and he’s made a lot of changes from last year and brought in players that will suit the kind of football he wants to play.

'At home, we’ve been really consistent over the past 15 or 16 months and we just need to make sure we bring the same kind of energy and tempo into the game. If we do that then we know we’re hard to stop.'

The manager confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Jota will miss out but should be back next week, while David Turnbull and Stephen Welsh have also picked up knocks which rule both out.

One man who is certainly more than likely to start is Cameron Carter-Vickers who has taken on the mantle of club captain since Callum McGregor suffered an injury in Leipzig.

The 24-year-old centre-half has been a vital part of the side since signing last season on loan and then permanently in the summer, and Ange Postecoglou has been pleased with how he has taken on the responsibility of the armband.

He added: “When you lose someone as influential as Callum you won’t fill that breach with someone that’s a carbon copy of him.

“For me, I think it was important to have some stability and we have guys like Joe Hart who is very vocal as a leader, other guys like Greg Taylor and Josip Juranovic who are quite vocal as well, and I just felt we needed a different type of leader.

“When Cameron is out there, the lads do see him as a leader in the way he plays and goes about his business, so for me it was a balancing act.

“With Joe and a few others providing the vocal aspect, I thought Cameron in there would help us and he’s done well.”
