“Cameron Carter-Vickers and Aaron Mooy had a session on Thursday so we will see how they go, and Liel Abada is available again.

“David Turnbull will miss out with tonsillitis but we hope by Tuesday that’s cleared up.

“We will just see how the boys pulled up from the game but we will make at least two or three changes.

'It’s going to be a challenging game and we need to freshen up the team. The boys have been training well and they need an opportunity.'

“It does make it more challenging because the hours of recovery are important. We got in at 2am Thursday morning so you’re talking about a 48-hour recovery to get guys ready for a game of football, so every hour counts.

“It’s where we are and it’s what we have to deal with, and we will probably make some changes to make sure we have the right energy and intensity.”

He added: “It will be a tough game, every game in the Premiership is and particularly away from home.

“They played midweek and had a disappointing result so at home they will want to make amends for that.

'We know it will be a tough game and it’s just about us making sure we start the game well and start with the right intensity and tempo.'

“Our game doesn’t change. The challenge is different, but for the most part, the security we have is that our football and fundamentals don’t change.

“If you chopped and changed our approach in competitions then there’s always the uncertainty if the guys can switch in the way we want to play.”
