He said: “They’ve had a strong season and been solid in that third position with a decent gap from the rest of the field.

“They’ve been consistent and every game we’ve had against them has been a good one, so irrespective of being in the cup final or not, it will be a good challenge for us.

“Their approach won’t change but they can play more freely without consequences.

'To play a team like that, there’s always the possibility they will be more aggressive or expansive.'

“But I think they’ve been disciplined in their approach as they have been all year and there won’t be too much of a change.”

If results go Celtic’s way this weekend then the league title could be secured by Sunday evening.

There’s an eagerness to get the job done, but more important to the manager is ensuring the team continues to put in high-level performances, knowing if they can achieve that then everything else will fall into place.

“It’s only natural, you’re dealing with human beings whether it’s players, staff, supporters, there’s an expectation and I’m sure a lot of people just want to get over the line,” he added.

'I think the three games give us an opportunity to put in some strong performances and create more memorable moments for ourselves and remind ourselves why we are in this position.'

“We do that by focusing on our performances, respecting every opponent and trying to play our football. That’s why we’re here and that shouldn’t change because we are in sight of the finish line.

“We sit where we are because of our form and performances. We’ve had to overcome some determined challenges, even in recent weeks playing against teams in good form and we have got through them well.

“That’s our task again to play a tough opponent and know if we play at the levels we can then we can overcome that.”
