Celtic remain six points clear at the top of the Premiership table with just three games remaining after today’s 1-1 draw against Rangers at Paradise.

Jota gave the Hoops a first-half lead, and though they created a number of other opportunities throughout the match, they had to be content with a point after Fashion Sakala’s second-half equaliser.

It was a frantic start to the game, with neither side enjoying too much time on the ball in the early exchanges, and it was the visitors who had the first chance of the game on 13 minutes.

James Tavernier delivered a dangerous ball into the box from the right flank, but Ryan Kent steered the ball wide of the target.

Two minutes later, Kent had another effort. This one was on target but his shot from 25 yards out was comfortably saved by Joe Hart.

And on 20 minutes, Celtic took the lead with their first chance of the game. The ball was threaded down the left wing for Daizen Maeda, and his cross into the box was met by Jota, who fired the ball into the net.

Just after the half-hour mark, the Portuguese winger had another opportunity, but his diving header from a Reo Hatate cross went over the bar.

As the half progressed, Ange Postecoglou’s side began to exert more control on the match, and they had two great chances to extend their lead just before the break.

Callum McGregor played the ball through the left channel for Maeda, and his first-time cross into the box was met by Kyogo, but he couldn’t get his shot on target.

And then, almost immediately, the Hoops carved out another opportunity. This time it was Jota who floated a ball to the back post, but from a couple of yards out, Maeda headed it wide.
