The manager said: “I am extremely excited, I’ve been many times to watch the men’s games and the atmosphere is incredible.

“I’m sad that my female players haven’t had something like that to experience because it’s one of the biggest strengths of this football club, how amazing and noisy the fans are.

'I know Celtic fans like a challenge, so I challenge them to beat the record crowd for a game in Scotland and create an atmosphere because we need their help.'

“Everyone who supports Celtic loves good attacking football and we play the same exciting style. We also wear the Hoops and when you do that every fan wants you to do well because it’s your club.

“I say come and support us at Paradise and have an amazing day and help us get a good result.”

There’s still plenty of football to be played between now and the Celtic Park fixture, however, it’s set to be an exciting game as Hibs head to Paradise.

The Edinburgh side has run the Hoops close this season, with the Celts winning two games 2-1 and drawing the last game 1-1.

Alonso expects it to be a tight game once again but he believes the atmosphere created by a big Celtic crowd can make the difference.

“Hibs are a top opponent and it will be an even game that can go either way,” he said. “It’s never easy against Hibs, but I think our fans can make the difference for us to get a crucial three points and make it a perfect day.

“We want to excite the fans because football without them is nothing so I hope they can come and create a fantastic noise to make the difference.”
