“We’ve been playing well in the league and against Hibs, we dominated the game and we just needed to be a bit more clinical. But that’s not just down to the forwards, it’s as a whole team and for myself, I have the opportunity from corners as well.

“There are still a lot of games left and a lot of tough ones as well, so we’re just focusing on every game like we do all season.

“We’re going into this one to get a good performance and result.

'We know it will be a tough game but we are a team that will stand together and we are keen to get the result against St Mirren.'

“If we focus on ourselves and play the football we want then we have a good opportunity to win games and that’s all we can keep doing.”

The 26-year-old has been a regular at the heart of the defence alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers since the pair joined the club in the summer. In that time, the defensive unit has been the best in the league, conceding the fewest goals and keeping the most clean sheets.

That relationship is continuing to improve each week according to the Swedish centre-back, and he is developing further in the manager's style of play.

“I think we’re playing good and we’re not giving the opposition too many chances,” he said.

'We’ve been playing together for a while and we’re getting very comfortable with each other.'

"I think I’m developing all the time as it's different demands with the coach. You have to adapt but I’m doing that more and more and I feel like I’m in a good place.

“I feel more secure in my game than I did a couple of months ago and I’m in good shape and enjoying things.”
