Celtic are delighted to welcome two new players to the club, with the double signing of Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz.

Australian internationalist, Aaron Mooy, is reunited with his former manager, having worked under Ange Postecoglou during his tenure with the national team, and he joins the club on a two-year deal.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who has been capped 52 times by Australia, brings a wealth of experience with him to Paradise, both in his home country and in the UK, including a spell with St Mirren between 2010-12.

More recently, he was an impressive performer in the English Premier League with Huddersfield Town and Brighton, while for the past two years he has played in China with Shanghai Port.

Moritz Jenz is a German central defender who has been playing in the French top flight with Lorient since 2021.

Prior to that, the 23-year-old spent five years with Fulham, after which time he had a season in Switzerland with Lausanne-Sport before moving to France. He joins Celtic on a season-long loan, with the club having an option to buy.

Ange Postecoglou has further strengthened his title-winning squad, with Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz joining Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alexandro Bernabei and Ben Siegrist at Paradise, while Daizen Maeda has also made his move to Celtic a permanent one.

Speaking of the two latest signings, the Celtic manager said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to bring in both Aaron and Moritz to the club, and I’m sure they’ll be great additions to our squad.

“I obviously know Aaron from my time coaching the Australian national team, and he brings with him a wealth of experience at both club and international level.

“Moritz is a player we’ve been aware for a while now, and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to sign him.

“They’ve already had the chance to meet the rest of the squad, and I’m sure they’ll settle in very quickly into what is a very welcoming group of players, and I know that our supporters will be looking forward to seeing them both in a Celtic jersey.”
