Pre-season is well underway for both the men and women’s teams as the work beings to get into shape for the new league season.

With Ange Postecoglou’s team in Austria and Czech Republic, Fran Alonso’s side are in Gran Canaria for their own warm-weather training camp as they look to build on their cup double-winning campaign last season.

As a new season approaches, new players have been arriving in the women’s squad and there’s also a new coach that has been added into the mix.

After suffering a serious knee injury in February, goalkeeper Chloe Logan missed the Scottish Cup success and isn’t due back to first-team action until at least the end of the year.

But she’s making use of the time out, as she is getting to work as part of the coaching staff, trying to develop the group of young keepers in the squad.

Speaking exclusively to the Celtic website, she said: “For me personally it will be a different season.

'Although it will be a slightly different role for me this year it’s something that I’m looking forward to.'

“Before I injured my knee I was doing some coaching with the Academy and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it’s something that I want to do going forward.

“Being able to be involved with the first team is really exciting. I’ve already planned all my sessions and I don’t know if the goalies will love or hate me after pre-season.

“It’s something that past playing I want to be involved in, and when I can’t play then why not make the most of my time and contribute to the squad in another way.”
