Speaking at Lennoxtown today (Thursday), Starfelt said: “It’s going well. He’s a very good player and great to play with.

“We’re getting better all the time and we have a good connection on and off the pitch. Our communication is good, so I think we are doing good together.

“I feel like I’m in good shape and I just to try and build on that Hibs performance.

'I’m very happy being at Celtic. All the players enjoy coming to training and playing in front of the fans.'

“Fighting for trophies is what every player wants and outside of the pitch I’m enjoying everything right now.”

Having claimed the League Cup in December, the Hoops now have their sights set on the Scottish Cup, with a fourth round tie away to Alloa Athletic coming up this Saturday.

Starfelt is well aware that any cup competition is capable of providing shocks, and the 26-year-old wants to ensure this team is not a victim of one of those shocks on Saturday night.

“It’s always tough in the cup no matter who you face,” he said. “It’s one game, so teams in the lower divisions will fight very hard.

'You need to be really focused for each match because over one leg anything can happen, so you have to put in the work and do your best.'

“One of the reasons players come here is in the hope to win stuff. We’ve won our first trophy and we are now hungry for me.”
