Join the Celtic FC B team at Penny Cars Stadium this Sunday, as they look to secure three points against the University of Stirling (KO 3pm) in the Scottish Lowland League.

The young Hoops now sit second in the league table, after goals from Rocco Vata and Owen Moffat saw them clinch a 2-1 victory over Gala Fairydean Rovers last weekend.

Earlier in the season, the Bhoys travelled through to the Forthbank Stadium and secured a very convincing 5-1 win against the Stirling side. Manager, Tommy McIntyre was delighted with the “fantastic goals” scored by Adam Brooks, Moffat, Vata and Ben Wylie, and the “dominant” performance from the team as a whole. Will they get five past the visitors this weekend?

McIntyre’s young side are growing from strength to strength in their debut year in the Scottish Lowland League, with the team’s top goal scorer Owen Moffat highlighting how beneficial the regular game time has been for his development as a player.

The Celts also managed to take a point away from their midweek match against Queen’s Park in the Glasgow Cup on Tuesday, when they drew 3-3.

Tommy McIntyre said as he caught up with Celtic TV after the fixture: “I thought the character from the players was enormous, even driving forward in the second-half. Queen’s Park are a good side with experienced players.”

There is still time to secure tickets for Sunday’s game, which are priced at £8 for adults and just £4 for U16s. Get the family together for a day out to Airdrie and make some noise for the young Bhoys as they look to secure a third league victory in a row.
