It was the hosts who took the lead in the 10^th minute. Tobi Oluwayemi made a flying save, parrying the ball behind and from the resulting corner, Ciaren Chalmers managed to get on the end of it and put the ball in the back of the net.

Tsoanelo Letsosa immediately went searching for the equaliser but his deflected shot was smothered by the Gala goalie.

Before the 20-minute mark, Celtic had another golden opportunity to level when Adam Brook’s almost forced the keeper into a mistake.

Celtic came out after the break continuing to play with pace and with more control of the ball.

In the 54^th minute they got their equalised, Rocco Vata took a run down the right and angled a shot past the keeper that fired into the far corner.

Moffat’s winning goal came in the 72^nd minute of the match. The 20-year-old eyed up the goal from distance, firing the ball low and into the corner of the net.

Celtic turned up the pace once again and had a shot cleared off the line after Vata got onto Adam Brooks’ cross.

But the young green and white defence also had to stay alert as Gala came storming down the pitch with just minutes to go in search of an equaliser, forcing Oluwayemi to make two reaction saves.

The B team came away with an important three points which sees them jump into second place in the league with 61 points and a goal difference of 47.
