The Celtic View Podcast is back tonight Monday (February 14) with a special seven-part series.

This season we will be discussing all things Cult Heroes, as each week we sit down with a famous former Celt to chat through their career in the green and white Hoops.

In Episode 1, out tonight, we have the man who helped stop the 10, as Harald Brattbakk is the podcast guest.

The Norwegian striker joins Ryan Maher to talk through each step in his career, from winning titles and scoring in the Champions League with Rosenborg, Bodo/Glimt and Copenhagen, to joining Celtic and being part of that famous team.

Of course, so much of the chat revolves around the 1997/98 season, where Brattbakk scored the crucial goal on the final day of the season against St Johnstone to lift the Scottish title for the first time since 1988.

Speaking about that moment, Brattback says on the Celtic View Podcast: “When I was coming on after 60 minutes it was still 1-0 and St Johnstone would only need a fluke of a goal to help Rangers.

“There was so much cheering when I scored the second goal but equally there was so much relief in the stands as everyone realised that this was possible now.

“I remember Henrik Larsson jumping on my back and I just had to enjoy the moment because if there’s one time to enjoy scoring a goal, it would be in such a moment like that.

“I still remember the next seconds so well and that’s part of my legacy of being at Celtic Park.”
