Taylor Otto’s first Celtic goal, a Chloe Craig penalty, and a Clarissa Larisey bracesaw Spartans off with ease as Celtic ran out 4-0 winners to maintain their winning start to the new SWPL season.

After a dominant start for Celtic, Otto finally broke the deadlock for the Hoops on the 23rd minute, blasting a well-placed shot into the net from a Jacynta cutback.

Fran Alonso’s side continued to assert themselves in the match, playing with greater energy following the opener, with Lucy Ashworth-Clifford, Lisa Robertson, Amy Gallacher and Liv Chance all involved in testing the Spartans keeper.

And on 34 minutes, Celtic doubled their lead from the penalty spot. Amy Gallacher was brought down inside the area, and Chloe Craig converted the spot-kick to make it 2-0 at the break.

Just seconds after the restart, Clarissa Larisey grabbed her first of the afternoon, picking up a through ball into the box and producing a cool finish, while, ten minutes later, Ashworth-Clifford was denied a goal after her effort was ruled out for offside.

Celtic continued to dominate the match, and their fourth goal of the game came in the 87th minute. Larisey was fouled inside the area, and she took and scored the subsequent penalty to make it 4-0 to Fran Alonso's side.
