Celtic FC Women reached and exceeded several milestones in their 6-0 win over Hamilton. The Hoops now have more than 100 competitive goals (currently 104) this season, with top goalscorer and hat-trick hero Charlie Wellings netting 32 of those.

And while it was a commanding performance from Fran Alonso's side, it was Hamilton who almost opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Rachael Johnstone came out to challenge Josie Giard. The Accies striker kept possession of the ball and took aim at an open goal, but her effort trickled wide.

Six minutes later, Celtic took the lead through Olivia Chance, with the New Zealand internationalist finishing well from inside the area.

Just 11 minutes later, Celtic had doubled their lead. Shen Mengyu set up a brilliant ball for Charlie Wellings to run on to and slot it coolly past the Accies keeper for her 30th goal for the Hoops.

Izzy Atkinson had the chance to make it 3-0 when she sprinted down the left and into the box, taking a powerful shot at goal which ricocheted off the near post.

But the Hoops were not to be denied, and it was Wellings who scored again when she latched on to a through ball and slotted it home.

And just seven minutes after the break, the Celtic striker netted her hat-trick. She gathered the ball from Olivia Chance, calmy rounded the goalkeeper and then knocked it into the net.

Clarissa Larisey made it 5-0 with 20 minutes remaining, producing a composed low finish after being set up by Jacynta.

And there was still time for a sixth goal when Jacynta's cross was deflected into the net off an Accies defender.

It was an impressive win for Fran Alonso's side who nead into this Sunday's Scottish Women's Cup sem-final against Hearts full of confidence.
