Ange Postecoglou is glad to have his full squad back from international duty as he prepares for tomorrow’s visit from Ross County.

The Hoops will be keen to extend their fine home form into tomorrow’s Premiership match, and the Celtic manager said focus is crucial as he and his players look forward to the next stretch of games in domestic and European competition.

“In general, the next step for us is about progressing our football,” said Ange Postecoglou. “The first part of the season was okay, we definitely showed some good parts of our game and promise, but ultimately we fell short in some areas.

'This next block of games give us that opportunity to progress our football further.'

"With this group of new players coming in, we have the opportunity to, hopefully, take it to the next level.”

The manager said he expects a stiff challenge against tomorrow’s visitors, and says he’ll do everything in his power to maintain the momentum his side have shown on home soil since the beginning of the campaign.

He added: “I expect a difficult test against Ross County. Our home games are going pretty well, but we’ll still need to work hard to get superiority. I’m sure tomorrow will be no different.

'It’s always tricky coming out of an international break, and we’ve literally had one session with the full squad today.'

“The players are coming back from all parts of the world, some played three games, and some played just one. I know what it’s like as an international manager, there are all sorts of different styles and ways of playing – we need to get everyone back in and get their Celtic hats back on.

“That’ll be the challenge for us, to make sure our boys are back in and focused on our football. We need to hit the ground running tomorrow.”
