John Kennedy is looking for Celtic to follow up their performance from midweek with an impressive display in the final game of the season tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) against Hibernian.

The Scottish Premiership season wraps up this weekend, and Celtic will round off their campaign at Easter Road against Jack Ross’ on-form Hibernian. The Edinburgh side have already secured third place in the league, their best finish in 16 years, and are in net weekend’s Scottish Cup final.

Celtic meanwhile come into this weekend’s game off the back of a strong display against League Cup winners and Scottish Cup finalists St Johnstone. The Hoops swept aside St Johnstone 4-0 at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening (May 12^th) in Scott Brown’s final home game for the club.

Speaking to the media today (Friday) ahead of tomorrow’s game, John Kennedy said he expected a similar standard from his players as he hinted he could give some young players a runout.

“I want to finish well,” he said. “We’ll have some younger players around the squad. We want to be strong, everyone’s in a good place and wants to play their part. There’ll be a good team out, a couple of changes and a few guys on the bench.

“We’ll see how the game goes to see if there are opportunities for some of them to come on.

'We’ll go strong, try and finish well and build on the performance from the other night to get a good result.'

The Celtic interim manager also gave his thoughts on what he anticipated from Hibernian while crediting manager Jack Ross for his achievements this season.

“Jack’s said he’ll look to make a few changes which makes sense because they’ve had a busy week and have the cup final next weekend,” he said. “I’d expect them to make some changes but they have a good squad. Jack’s done a terrific job to get Hibs third place in the league and into a cup final. It’s a great achievement by jack, his staff and the group of players he has in there.”
