Neil Lennon was disappointed with a share of the spoils from a game at the Tony Macaroni Arena that his side had dominated in terms of possession and chances created throughout the 90 minutes.

Despite going a goal down after 15 minutes, Celtic fought back and goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Nir Bitton gave the Hoops a 2-1 lead at the break.

Although they created a number of opportunities in the second half, Celtic couldn’t add to their goals tally and the home side grabbed an equaliser on the hour mark.

Celtic were forced to end the game with 10 men after Scott Brown, on as a substitute, was red-carded, and neither side was able to grab the winner.

Speaking after the game, the Celtic manager said: “We’ve got ourselves in front and we were playing very, very well, but we’ve given away two very poor goals from our point of view. It’s another draw, and the draws have really damaged us this season. There have been too many.

“Callum had another great game and I thought there were a lot of good performances – I thought Elyounoussi was very good as well. We came out in the second half with real fortitude and we worked the ball into great areas, but we couldn’t find the final ball or the finish.

“Their goalkeeper made a couple of great saves and we were well on top, but for some reason, the first attack Livi had, we switched off. A couple of boys have slipped and maybe the conditions played a part in that, but I’m bitterly disappointed that we didn’t win the game.

“The reaction to going the goal down was brilliant. We had great chances. Duffy had a great chance with the header and we scored two very good goals, two great finishes. Then we came out in the second half and looked really strong, and I thought we should go on and win the game by three or four, but you always need that two-goal cushion against any opposition.

“It’s always difficult here. Our record’s not great here, and, again, it’s a game that’s got away from us unfortunately.”
