The Celtic B team are back in league action tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they face an away game against Civil Service Strollers, who are currently joint top of the Lowland League.

Tommy McIntyre’s side go into the game on the back of an emphatic 10-0 victory over Vale of Leithen at the weekend, and the B team manager is looking for his young squad to keep their impressive run going, which has seen them win their last five games.

Speaking ahead of the game, Tommy McIntyre said: “That’s just the way it is at Celtic – you’ve got to be able to pick yourself up, recover and go again.

“You see that with the first team – two games a week – we’re now experiencing that and they’re really taking to that, and so far, so good.

'So far it’s been really good. I think we’ve grown into the league and we seem to be getting better as we go on.'

"We just want to make sure we get into good habits, and that’s winning games but it’s also getting good performances.'

“There’s a good balance about the team and we look strong at the back, so all in all, it’s the nucleus of a good squad. There are young players there but there are also one or two who’ve had a wee bit of experience with the first team, which is good.”
