Neil Lennon has made a number of changes to the Celtic starting XI for tonight’s (Thursday) final group-stage game in the Europa League against Lille at Celtic Park.

The Celtic manager revealed yesterday that he planned to rotate the squad for tonight’s game against the French side to give other players a chance to play and ensure the team is fresh for Sunday’s (December 13) league game against Kilmarnock.

That sees six changes to the starting XI that faced St Johnstone at the weekend, with Academy Bhoy Conor Hazard making his first-team debut in goals. The 22-year-old stopper has one senior international cap to his name after making his debut for Northern Ireland in a friendly against Costa Rica in June 2018. He has gained first-team experience with loan spells at Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Dundee, where he kept six clean-sheets in 11 appearances last season.

Neil Lennon has also has handed David Turnbull his European debut for the Hoops, with the 21-year-old starting in midfield alongside Ismaila Soro. Patryk Klimala, Shane Duffy and Mohamed Elyounoussi round off the final three changes to the team.

Making way for the incoming players are Vasilis Barkas, Nir Bitton, Ryan Christie, Scott Brown, Tom Rogic and Odsonne Edouard. The manager has also included Academy players Ewan Henderson, Stephen Welsh and Cameron Harper amongst the substitute.
