CELTIC have scored 141 goals across all competitions this season, and 10 of the best are in the running for the Magners Celtic Goal of the Season Award, as voted for by the fans.

Over the next few days, the official Celtic website will be looking at each of the nominated goals, and you can watch all 10 goals on the video below.

In Celtic’s last game before the postponement of the Scottish football fixtures due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, Neil Lennon’s side produced a five-star showing, with Leigh Griffiths heading home with the match ball after a superb hat-trick. Griffiths’ second goal of the game, and indeed, Celtic’s second goal is the one that has made the Goal of the Season nominees list. Nir Bitton cut in from the right and threaded a ball across to Griffiths on the edge of the box. He danced past one defender, pushed the ball to Tom Rogic who produced a dazzling flick to roll the ball back into the striker’s path, and he dinked it beyond the St Mirren goalkeeper, spinning away to celebrate as the ball struck the post before nestling in the back of the net.

Leigh Griffiths: ‘For that goal, I knew that playing it to Tom Rogic meant I was going to get it straight back. He’s played me straight in behind the defence, and then it was up to me to put it into the back of the net. I managed to dink it past the goalkeeper. At first, I didn’t actually think it was going to go in, I thought it was going to wide! But it’s spun on the ground, hit the post and went in. It was brilliant.’
