CELTIC FC is delighted to announce that Yardley Makefield Soccer in the US has agreed to further extend their relationship with Celtic and become the club’s first ever Premium Partner in their ever-growing International Club Partnership Programme. This will be the sixth year that YMS has worked with the Celtic Soccer Academy and sees a significant extension of the programmes focussed on club, coach and player development.

This premium partnership will involve a deeper sharing of methodology and practical from Celtic’s Academy and enhanced programmes to ensure that every YMS player and coach regardless of their level or experience in the game, benefits from the most comprehensive club partnership programme in world football.

The list of coaching activities is extensive with delivery throughout the year by Celtic’s team of coaching staff. Some key features include access to the Celtic coaching curriculum, coaching camps and team tour to Scotland to train and play at Celtic’s Academy.

Based just outside of Philadelphia, YMS boasts an impressive membership of over 2000 members and their hard work, dedication and loyalty to the Celtic Soccer Academy Programme was a major factor in the decision to strengthen the relationship and invite them to become our first ever Premium Partner Club.

YMS Club President Steve Beede said: “Our relationship with Celtic FC has grown very strong over the past five years, and we welcomed this opportunity to become their first Premium Partner Club. This relationship will significantly align Celtic FC philosophies with the YMS culture, and increase opportunities and experiences for everyone in our club.

Celtic’s Senior International Soccer Academy Manager Chris Smith added: “We are thrilled to announce that YMS are now a Premium Partner Club. Only last year we celebrated their five-year anniversary of working with us by presenting them with a commemorative plaque and now they are the first club to work with us at this level.

"It emphasises their commitment to providing the best environment for their players and coaches to prosper. YMS has always been a very ambitious club and we see this move as a real demonstration of their intent to develop further. We thank their board for supporting this initiative."
