WITH the football season currently postponed, Celtic’s main hope is that everyone is staying safe and continuing to follow the expert advice being given during this ongoing coronavirus crisis.

In the fullness of time, of course, we hope to be back at Paradise to play the remainder of the season in front of our incredible supporters.

This is normally the time in the season when we put fans on the spot and get them to vote in the club’s annual Player of the Year Awards, choosing their favourite Goal of the Season, as well as their first choice in the Player and Young Player of the Year categories.

There have been so many highlights for Neil Lennon’s side in this brilliant 2019/20 campaign and we’re sure that, at home with your family, the debates will start over your particular favourites before you cast your vote…

With the League Cup already in the Paradise trophy cabinet for the fourth consecutive year – the club’s 10th successive trophy triumph - a dominant 13-point lead at the top of the Premiership table, and a Scottish Cup semi-final place booked, Celtic have been dominant domestically.

Add to that an impressive UEFA Europa League campaign saw home and away wins over top Italian side, Lazio – Celtic’s first ever win on Italian soil – and Neil Lennon’s side have been impressive and unstoppable… which makes the decision on who to choose for the various categories even more difficult than usual!

When it comes to Goal of the Season, you’re spoiled for choice. Neil Lennon’s side have performed in the great attacking tradition that Celtic are renowned for, and have scored an incredible total of 141 goals in all competitions. Here are 10 of the best goals of this campaign shortlisted for you to choose from!

As always, there are some belters in this shortlist, so which one will be your favourite? Could it be Ryan Christie’s Flag Day strike, Odsonne Edouard’s derby goal at Ibrox, Kris Ajer’s cool finish at Fir Park back in August or Callum McGregor’s stunning volley at the same stadium in February.

Or what about either of Olivier Ntcham’s nominated goals – a stunning 35-yard strike against Partick Thistle, or his last-gasp winner against Lazio in Rome. Mikey Johnston is also nominated twice, for superb goals against FK Sarajevo and Dunfermline, while James Forrest’s stunner in Sweden is also there.

And Leigh Griffiths’ goal in the recent game against St Mirren – one of three he scored in the game – also makes the cut.

However, the choice of winner is, ultimately, up to you.
