SCOTT Brown understands the pressures of derby day in Glasgow more than most, but said he and his team-mates will treat Sunday’s trip to Ibrox like any other game.

In doing so, he targets maximum points away from home, in what would mark another significant stride towards a ninth successive league title.

“Every single game is huge for us,” Brown told the media at Lennoxtown. “We don’t worry about who we’re playing, we make sure we focus on how we’re going to set up.

“At the weekend, we’ll focus on ourselves, and we’ll make sure we play to the best of our abilities. We’ll make sure we’re organised, and we’ll make sure we all know our jobs on the pitch.”

The captain once more sang the praises of the club’s annual ‘mini-pre-season’ winter training camp in Dubai, and likewise hailed the form the Scottish champions have shown since the turn of the year. Ahead of Sunday's encounter, Neil Lennon's men are undefeated domestically - having won 12 games and drawn just one.

Brown admitted he expects a battle on Sunday, but is confident in the Hoops’ ability to take the game to their rivals, and replicate the performance of their last visit to Ibrox.

He added: “They are a good team and played well at Celtic Park last time. It’s going to be a battle but, we need to make sure we play well, that we go there and work hard, and try and win the challenge.

“We’ve done well away from home and we need to make sure we continue that. It’s hard going away, but we’re looking forward to it.

“We’re in a good place right now. We’re playing well and need to make sure our current form going, we need to make sure we can push each other too.”
