A NEW era for Celtic FC Women begins tonight under the lights, as the newly-professional Ghirls take on last season’s champions Glasgow City.

The Hoops welcome their city rivals to K-Park, East Kilbride in their SWPL1 opener, and there’s no better time to start supporting the Ghirls than tonight as they get their league campaign underway.

HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Kick-off is 7:35pm, and tickets are only available on the night, with cash gate entry priced at £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and under 16s completely free!

Alternatively, you can back the Ghirls throughout their 2020 SWPL1 campaign by buying a season ticket now! Adult season tickets for all ten home games costs £30, and family tickets for two adults and two children are only £50!

The turnstiles at K-Park will be open tonight from 6.15pm

A NEW ERA
The visit of Glasgow City tonight marks an important night for the club, as the team kick off their first league game under their new professional status.

Excitement is rising for the Ghirls’ 2020 campaign, off the back of some huge progress for the team last year, ending the season 13 points better off and taking points from the top sides, Glasgow City and Hibernian.

So, get behind the team as they chase silverware this season!

New faces
The match will give fans the chance to cheer on new manager Fran Alonso and his signings in league action for the first time. Adding to the quality of his existing squad, Alonso drafted in Americans Sarah Teegarden and Summer Green, and Lisa Robertson and Jodie Bartle from the English Championship. On top of this, he secured the signature of Brenda, from Gran Canarian team Femarguin and the loan signing of Anita from Atletico Madrid.

The game will take place at K-Park in East Kilbride (G75 0QZ), in Calderglen Country Park, and visitor parking is available.

From South/East
Leave the M74 at Junction 5 and follow the A725 into the centre of East Kilbride. At the Birniehill Roundabout take the Strathaven Road exit and follow the road until you see a sign for Calderglen Country Park. Follow the road and K-Park will eventually be sighted on the left-hand side.

From West
Leave the M77 at Junction 5 and follow the A726 into the centre of East Kilbride. At the Birniehill Roundabout take the Strathaven Road exit and follow the road until you see a sign for Calderglen Country Park. Follow the road and K-Park will eventually be sighted on the left-hand side.
