THE first Celtic View of a brand new decade is out this week, Wednesday, January 8, and Jeremie Frimpong stars in the first issue as he reflects on a whirlwind few months at Paradise, and looks forward to the rest of his debut campaign.

Signed from Manchester City on transfer deadline day, the energetic full-back has since wowed with a flurry of goals, assists and Man of the Match awards, all of which has earned him a deserved place in Neil Lennon’s starting XI.

With the young Dutchman showing little sign of slowing down, the Celtic View caught up with the 19-year-old about his time so far in green and white, and his targets in the second half of his debut season in Glasgow.

Here’s the third small taster of his head-to-head with the first Celtic View of the new decade.

ON HIS FIRST CUP FINAL
We won the game and that’s the main thing. Obviously, I was gutted to get sent off. When I saw the red card, I was like, ‘Oh my days, what am I doing?’ That’s not me, though, I don’t normally go in for tackles like that, I never go out to hurt anyone or foul them either. Afterwards, I didn’t care too much about the red card, because we still won. Everything was cool, everything was good. Before the full-time whistle, though, aw man, I was shouting at the screen, shouting the place down. The guys were really good with me when they came back, they said if they were in that position they probably would have done the same thing.

ON FRASER FORSTER’S CUP FINAL PERFORMANCE
What a guy! Even in training, you can’t score past him! I’m like, Are you okay? Do you want to let us score, maybe just once? I heard he gets called The Great Wall after the Barcelona win in 2012 – I can believe that. He’s too good.
