THE first Celtic View of a brand new decade is out next week, Wednesday, January 8, and Jeremie Frimpong stars in the first issue as he reflects on a whirlwind few months at Paradise, and looks forward to the rest of his debut campaign.

Signed from Manchester City on transfer deadline day, the energetic full-back has since wowed with a flurry of goals, assists and Man of the Match awards, all of which has earned him a deserved place in Neil Lennon’s starting XI.

With the young Dutchman showing little sign of slowing down, the Celtic View caught up with the 19-year-old about his time so far in green and white, and his targets in the second half of his debut season in Glasgow.

Here’s the second small taster of his head-to-head with the first Celtic View of the new decade.

ON BEING ELIGIBLE FOR EUROPEAN COMPETITION IN 2020
Aw, man, I’ve been wanting to play in European competition for the longest time! If I get the chance to play in the last 32 tie, that’ll be a dream come true for me. To play for Celtic in Europe? It’s quality. Even the thought of it gets me excited.

ON EXPERIENCING EUROPEAN NIGHTS AT PARADISE AS A FAN
Seeing Celtic Park, the fans, it’s a sell-out, it’s crazy. When Chris Jullien scored the header right near the end against Lazio, the fans went totally nuts – and I was going mental with them! I watched the Lazio game in Rome in my house, I put it up on my Instagram, I was over the moon. What a goal to win it with as well! Olivier was clinical.
