CELTIC reclaimed their place at the top of the Scottish Premiership this afternoon (Sunday), with a comfortable 2-0 win over Hibernian.

Goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard in each half secured maximum points at Paradise - here are five quick-fire talking points from today’s game.

CONCENTRATION
With seven changes from the side that travelled to Cluj, and four from the starting XI that triumphed at Hampden last week, Celtic set out a 3-5-2 against Hibs – with James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard leading the line. Hibs defended well for much of the match, but the movement of the front two proved too much for the visitors’ backline over the course of 90 minutes. Against a composed and well-organised opponent, concentration in Neil Lennon’s side was key.

JOYOUS JEREMIE
We’ve said it more than once in this column, but 18-year-old Jeremie Frimpong plays with a drive, determination and finesse beyond his years. Lively from start to finish, the wing-back proved a constant threat down the right channel, and was rewarded for his efforts ahead of half-time with a cool and composed finish to put the Hoops ahead. Well deserving of his Man of the Match award.

EDDY’S CLASS
Odsonne Edouard’s ability to hold up play to allow his team-mates to overlap or create space is unparalleled in this Celtic side. Uncharacteristically, the Frenchman missed a handful of chances in both halves, but made no mistake to double his side’s lead on 66 minutes. His strength, vision and work-rate in the final third is why he’s such a crucial member of the Treble Treble winners.

TALKING HEAD
In footballing terms, a quiet afternoon for Scott Brown, but in leadership terms, another fine example of how invaluable the Scottish champions’ club captain is. Anchoring the Hoops midfield on his lonesome against Hibs, Brown coached his peers from back to front from start to finish – Jeremie Frimpong to his right in particular. If concentration was key in today’s win, Scott Brown can take credit for enforcing that focus on the pitch.

TOP OF THE TREE
It wasn’t always the prettiest of games by Celtic’s standards, but a comfortable, confident and capable win for Neil Lennon’s men has taken them back to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
