TODAY’S Glasgow derby League Cup triumph means Celtic have now won 31 cup games on the bounce, and have secured their 10th successive trophy. Christopher Jullien’s goal was all that separated the Scottish champions and their city rivals at Hampden this afternoon (Sunday), but there was so much more to talk about.

THE GREAT WALL
A cup final performance if ever there was one. Simply incredible from the 6-foot 7 stopper who, from start to finish, produced world-class save after world-class save. Better still, he saved a penalty from Alfredo Morelos with half an hour of play remaining, and kept the Hoops backline organised after going down to 10 men.

SUPER JULLIEN
Christopher Jullien won everything in the air, and converted the only goal of the match with the resolute coolness and deft technique befitting a centre-forward. He was every bit worthy of his Superman celebration on the day, after putting in a superhero shift at the National Stadium.

FRIMPONG'S FIRST FINAL
Despite being shown a straight red card for his challenge on Alfredo Morelos on 65 minutes, the young Dutchman can hold his head high after a solid display at right-back. As we’ve seen on a several occasions this season already, the 18-year-old plays with a professionalism beyond his years, and showed little sign this was his first-ever cup final experience. At full-time, the smile could not be swiped from his face and rightly so.

BIG-GAME PLAYER
Odsonne Edouard’s impact was felt almost instantly after replacing Lewis Morgan with half-an-hour to go. He won the free-kick which led to Christopher Jullien’s opener, and proved a constant thorn in the Rangers’ backline’s side throughout his time on the pitch.

THERE’S ONLY ONE NEIL LENNON
When Neil Lennon returned as interim manager in February, so much was said about his ability to guide Celtic over the line for last season’s Treble Treble which, of course, he did so in style. Today, this is his team, his victory, his trophy – all of which comes from the attacking-minded style of play his players employ, their ability to win games, and their unwavering never-say-die attitude, all which were portrayed this afternoon at Hampden.
