CELTIC Women’s manager, Eddie Wolecki Black is delighted at securing a move back to the club for goalkeeper, Chloe Logan and the coach is looking forward to seeing the impact the signing will have on the goalkeeping department and squad as a whole.

The capture of Logan’s signature as she returns from an extended spell at Stirling University playing both domestic and university sport will see her bring a wealth of experience as the Hoops enter the second half of the 2019 season.

He said: “I’m obviously delighted to have brought Chloe in. We never really fully replaced Emily Mutch when she went out to Hearts at the start of the year, and Chloe is a player we’ve been looking to get in for a while now, so it’s really pleasing to have got that over the line.”

The stopper, graduated through the entire Celtic Academy up to first team, and Wolecki Black is a fan of Logan’s ability with the ball at her feet and feels that while she will be looking to stake her own claim, she can help launch first choice Megan Cunningham even further and give him a selection headache.

He added: “She’s got excellent distribution from her feet and is a very strong goalkeeper – it’s almost like having an extra defender back there playing and she’s bringing a lot of experience back to the club.

“I had Megan at Glasgow City with me, and Lee Alexander was my first choice at the time, but I think Lee would be the first to tell you that having Megan’s presence and someone with Megan’s talent only forced her to take it to another level.

“I think that this move here will only have the same effect on Megan, because we’ve got two very good goalkeepers now,” he told.

Celtic return to SWPL1 action this Sunday, August 4 against Rangers at K-Park, East Kilbride. Kick-off is 2pm and entry is £5 adults, £3 concessions and free for under-16s.
