ON the eve of the much-anticipated Celtic FC Festival, in association with Magners, the Club’s charitable arm is delighted to reveal details of a limited edition art print celebrating this momentous event.

The design, created by renowned Scottish artist, Jim Scullion, depicts a glittering night sky over the city’s Finnieston and Clydeside area – the site of this year’s Festival.

Against a stunning twilight backdrop, a luminous moon bears Celtic FC Foundation’s insignia above one of Glasgow’s iconic landmarks, the Finnieston Crane, with subtle nods to the club and Lisbon Lions, Billy McNeill and Stevie Chalmers - both of whom sadly passed away earlier this year.

Exclusively available at the Celtic FC Festival’s Foundation stand from Friday, July 26, limited edition Festival prints are numbered between 0001 and 1967 ensuring each item represents a distinct and momentous piece of memorabilia. Please note, a small number of prints have been designated to future fundraising events and will be unavailable for purchase.

Priced at £10, prints are sized A2 and paired with an accompanying plastic sleeve. All proceeds from the sale of this artwork will support Celtic FC Foundation’s ongoing activities around dementia care.

Speaking on the design, Jim Scullion, said: “I’m delighted to be able to contribute to the Celtic FC Festival and assist the Foundation in their fundraising efforts. I’ve been around the club and the Foundation for a number of years now and I’m fully aware of the tremendous work they do for those living with dementia.

“And with that, I’m really pleased to be able to give something back and pay tribute to Glasgow, the Foundation, the Lisbon Lions, and Celtic Football Club.”

Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, added: “We are hugely grateful to Jim Scullion for taking the time to design this special piece of art. Jim has helped the Foundation a lot over the years and his reputation as an artist is world-renowned – a master of his craft.

“Special thanks must also go to another dedicated supporter of Celtic FC Foundation, Bell & Bain Ltd, who are generously printing this artwork free-of-charge and ensuring all proceeds go towards our project delivery for those living with dementia and their carers.
